Over the past 23 years, Curran Associates has grown to be one of the world's premier conference proceedings specialists. Since 1984, we have provided a unique, specialized acquisition service that enables libraries and researchers around the world to obtain conference proceedings with ease.

We now handle thousands of new titles per year, including over 1,000 recurring conference titles. We handle the "headaches" involved in acquiring these types of publications from hundreds of sources - ordering, prepaying, tracking, claiming, and the like. We also offer attractive terms, competitive pricing, prompt communication, and fast turnaround.

While we have clients of all sizes, some of the world's largest and most prestigious science and technology libraries regularly bolster their collections through our acquisition service. Our clients are initially drawn to our service because of the unique titles we provide, and continue the relationship because of the excellent service they receive. We deliver directly to some of our library clients, while others (such as those in Japan and China) prefer that we deliver publications through their book importers. Database of Conference Proceedings Titles

We have built a specialized database of conference proceedings titles. This database includes proceedings from large societies as well as lesser known associations, small societies and university presses, each of whom focus on scientific and technical discovery. This database became a timely source for our clients, providing them great value in locating new proceedings titles.  

Our Conference Proceedings Monthly (CPM) is an electronic listing of thousands of new titles per year, including over 1,000 recurring conferences. We provide CPM to our regular clients on a monthly basis, which they use as an ordering tool, and which keeps them informed about new conference titles as they become available. Through this tool, and through normal requests from scientists, educators and researchers, libraries can quickly and selectively choose the proceedings they want and hand it over to Curran. This represents but a small piece of the puzzle, yet it allows librarians and their staff to get back to the business of providing new and advanced library services, connecting people with knowledge, and otherwise running a first class library.
